ABSTRACT 

This project examines the linguistic persuasive strategies of president Obama’s speech as well  as  the  secluded  philosophy  enshrined  in  his  Cairo  address  to  Muslim  world.  It represents  the  American  vision  of  Muslims  by  re-introducing  herself  to  the  world [Muslims] at large. In this Cairo speech, delivered from the most populous Arab country, in which he addresses a new beginning with the  Arab  and Muslim world.  Obama  continued  to  use linguistic choices to effect a change in the foreign policy of his administration through dialogue. The  speech  attempt  to  dust  off  the  stains  which  the  eight  years  of  George  Bush’ administration brought to the United States foreign policy.
